Sunset through Blue Spruce - Oil on Canvas

Oil on 29” round canvas

This was the autumn view from my kitchen window looking out to the spruce and maple trees just has the sun was dropping. I was taken by the orange colours emphasizing the blues of the pine needles. The painting falls short of the joy of that moment but I did my best to pay it homage. It’s been fun to work on the circular canvas, a challenge for composition.
