Sun Breaking Through on Newfoundland - Oil on Canvas
Oil on Canvas
Double framed in Barnwood and Picket Fence.
A few minutes walk from my sister-in-laws front door in Stephenville Crossing is the shore of Bay St. George. It was late afternoon and partially cloudy when the sun blasted through and made everything sparkle and shine. Although I’ve painted many water scenes with acrylic, oil is the most fun with it’s fluid blending.
Framed in 100 year old barnwood and old picket fence made by myself. My father and brothers were and are carpenters so it wasn’t such a big step to start making them especially with the few years I worked in frame shops.
