I was spending a few days with my brother and his wife at Larder Lake this summer and was treated to a boat ride on the lake with friends. This was the most north of Ontario I’d ever been (it’s northeast of North Bay) and found it to be pristine and rugged. The area is and was know for its mines, mostly silver. If I were to travel to this same spot next year it would look very different as the winter will add and take away the shores, rocks and debris.
