New Foundland trees, especially along the shore, are gnarly and tough from the constant wind and sand blasting them sideways. They say they are terrible to cut as the sand has embedded them so much that it’s like cutting rock. They are a metaphor for the people of this land.
Single framed by me with 100 year old barnwood from Winchester.
