I love walking along the west coast shores of New Foundland where my husband’s family lives in Stephenville Crossing. We make the trip every few years and I never tire of the of watching motion of water and shore rocks. The colours are varied and bright, the air clean and crisp and the bay is most often deserted. I work from the photos I take, taking care to recall to atmosphere of the moment when painting.

I make the frames myself from 100 year old barn wood from the Winchester area and old picket fence from Morewood. The wood has been sealed but still is very rustic.
