When I lived all those years in Florida I would see the herons, egrets, spoonbills, etc., all those wonderful birds everywhere, and often I would paint them. Imagine my joy when seeing one overlooking the stream at the little village of Inkerman, North Dundas. I’ve also seen them along the St. Lawrence in the summer but that is an area I don’t often travel to. I hope I captured the stillness and mystery of the moment.
